Dr. Max Enkin, DMD
Dr. Enkin grew up in Peabody, Massachusetts and graduated from Brandeis University with a Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry (Magna Cum Laude). He then obtained his dental degree from Boston University School of Dental Medicine (Cum Laude).
Dr. Enkin practiced dentistry in western Massachusetts for many years, but wanted to move back to the North Shore to serve the community he has been a part of since his childhood. Dr. Enkin focuses on patient comfort, and believes in creating a friendly, positive atmosphere for all patients. Alleviating a patient's fear of the dentist is his top priority, and he strives to make every visit as comfortable as possible. Dr. Enkin is a member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, and participated in Spear Study Groups as well.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Enkin enjoys spending time with family and friends and going on walks and hikes. Dr. Enkin is also an avid chess player, having represented the United States in numerous international chess tournaments and achieving a title of National Master.
Dr. Jeffrey Ahlin, DDS
Dr. Ahlin grew up in Reading, Massachusetts and graduated from Tulane University in 1965, and Temple University School of Dentistry in 1969. He served two years on active duty as a naval dentist in Vietnam on board the USS Kitty Hawk, CVA-63. After his tour of active duty in the US Navy, Dr. Ahlin entered a dental specialty program at Boston University School of Dental Medicine and specialized in Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. He later became board certified in Pediatric Dentistry by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also board certified in Orthodontics by the American Orthodontic Society and is a Diplomate of both societies.
Dr. Ahlin has practiced Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics in Gloucester since 1973. During this time he has also taught part-time at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine for 5 years and Harvard University School of Dental Medicine for 15 years. He has published 42 articles in orthodontic, medical, and dental journals. Two textbooks on orthodontic technique were published in 1984 and 1997.
Dr. Ahlin has also written two novels. His current novel “Overrun, The Battle for Firebase 14” was published in late 2016. His newest novel “ Traitors in the Gastapo” will be published in the summer of 2020.
Natalia
Natalia holds an associate degree of Dental Hygiene from Middlesex Community College. She has been practicing as a dental hygienist for the past 20 years. Her passion for motivating and educating patients on the best oral hygiene practices is her number one goal at our practice. Her knowledge of best home care preventive products and techniques is at the highest level.
When she is not at work, she enjoys hiking with her dogs and eating out at new restaurants in Cape Ann.
Jay
Jay has been our office manager since October 2019. He graduated with an Associate's degree in Bio-Medical Engineering in 1991. Since then, he has been in the customer service industry for the past 25 years, with an emphasis on management of medical and financial industries. He enjoys interacting and helping our patients in any way possible, and our patients enjoy his positive personality and radiant smile.
In his free time, Jay loves to travel to Disney, spend time outdoors with the office mascot, Nala, enjoys golfing, and just recently started to fish with his family. He values quality time with his wife Janelle of over 20 years and nieces and nephews.
Monique
Monique is an energetic, kind-hearted assistant, and has been in the field for over 7 years. She is the most recent and wonderful addition to the practice, and has a passion for both dentistry and helping patients. She focuses on patient care, and wants to make sure that all our patients have a great experience.
In her free time, Monique enjoys swimming at the beach and hanging out with family and friends.
